There’s
a lot that’s new at Scottsbluff Landscaping and
The Village Garden Center this year-----
Beginning this year,
The Village Garden Center will no longer be open
all year. Instead, we plan to open each spring
on March 1, and close each fall in early
November—no later than Thanksgiving. We’ve
closed out our Christmas merchandise, and will
also no longer be selling fresh floral
arrangements. We plan to concentrate on being
the best garden center we can be from March
through November. Carol, Ty, and the staff at
the garden center are looking forward to
continuing to be able to help you with your
gardening and landscaping. We plan to continue
to have the best selection of native and adapted
trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental
grasses in the region to go along with the
newest flowers and healthiest vegetables in our
greenhouses each spring.
It’s true, that Dick Meyer will be moving to
Santa Fe, New Mexico, to join his wife,
Marsha, who took a new job with the hospital
there this past May. But Dick and Marsha will
continue to own Scottsbluff Landscaping and the
Village Garden Center. Dick expects to spend 7
to 10 days a month in Scottsbluff to assist with
landscape designs, staff training, and business
planning—and to keep in touch with friends
here. He plans to continue writing his column
for the Star Herald each week through the
season. Dick also plans to explore
opportunities to do part-time landscape design
and consultation work in Santa Fe
